Jodi is from Alabama, she had big dreams to become a famous actress. Nobody from her small town believed in her, she may as well said she wanted to be an alien. Her parents were disappointed when she decided to skip college and go to New York City to become an actress.
Jodi rebelled against her family’s wishes and is now living in New York City, she works as a waitress/cater waiter for fancy events. She has caught the attention of Eric Brunet who is a charming Upper East Side prince, he flirts with her a lot and she has a crush on him. New York society confuses the young, rebellious, yet sometimes naïve girl.
Not everyone is who they seem to be, so Jodi should be careful when it comes to trusting anyone in this dramatic world. Jodi is unaware that Eric’s girlfriend, Charlize Miller is part of the in crowd, nor is she aware that Eric has a girlfriend. This is a recipe for disaster, but this is the Upper East Side so there is bound to be some drama and scandal along the way.

Eric is an Upper East Side prince, he enjoys the many luxuries that come with being part of Manhattan’s elite. He’s a mix bad and good. Eric often finds himself faced with moral dilemmas but he always ends up doing the wrong thing more often than not. Eric is dating Charlize Miller, he liked that she was different from the other girls he met during their freshmen year, when she started to change and become more Upper East Side he assumed she was just maturing and getting use to her new life but he doesn’t know that she doesn’t feel like herself. Eric attends Columbia University, he can be seen partying everyday of the week with his friends by his side. He lives it up like there is no tomorrow. He dislikes Ethan Brunett who is always hanging around Charlize, he doesn’t like other boys around his girl. Eric has recently met Jodi Riley a waitress who works at one of his favorite restaurants. She is a rebel and he is attracted to her, he flirts with her a lot and has developed feelings for her. He hasn’t told her about his girlfriend, nobody has to know right? That way nobody can get hurt.

Charlize may be living on the Upper East Side now, but when she was a little girl she lived in Brooklyn with her two loving parents and always hung out with her best friend Ethan Burnett ( FC Josh Hutcherson), it was always the two of them against the world until Charlize’s parents split up. Her mother ended up marrying a millionaire and they moved to Manhattan, suddenly Charlize was thrown into a world where money and status meant everything.
The first few years were difficult, nobody liked her but then Eric Anderson ( FC Liam Hemsworth) showed an interest in her and she began to slowly change who she was to fit into the Upper East Side. She started wearing designer clothes and she avoided going to Brooklyn to see her father and best friend Ethan
.Now that she’s attends Columbia University, she has fitted into her role of Upper East Side princess and she’s dating Eric, but even though she had avoided Ethan, he has found a way to get back into her life. Charlize is afraid that nobody will like her if they knew she was really just some Brooklyn girl.
Eric likes the fake Charlize, but he doesn’t really know her like Ethan does. Charlize is a good natured person at heart, she has just lost her way. She’s a good friend to those she cares about and always strives to be the very best at everything.

Jade Jameson is part of a very important New York family, she went to society events as a child and behaved in public to please her family, very early on she was taught about always looking your best in front of other people. Her mother taught her that grace, style and class were vital in getting everything you wanted. Her father taught her that sometimes it’s okay to bend the rules to get what you want. The world was about having power and Jade was to know this and be a powerful person just like her father. Jade’s parents use to be involved in a criminal lifestyle, they’re not exactly the most moral people, but they do care a lot about their family. Jade is very much her parents daughter, she acts as if she likes people to their face, but she can be a backstabber. She will do anything to climb the social ladder.
Jade is aware of the feud between the Van Buren and The Jameson families, she doesn’t really know why their is so much hatred between the two, but Jade was taught to hate anyone her parents hate.Her brother Darren, rebelled against his family and became a mechanic, this upset Jade a lot because she wanted her brother to have a powerful job. She has it in for Olivia Van Buren, she blames her for corrupting her brother. Jade enjoys causing trouble, it’s entertaining for her. Jade really wants to be loved, she does enjoy scheming and being a trouble maker, but she’s still just a girl looking for real love and acceptance, as she gets to know the Van Buren girls better, she starts thinking that she can’t just hate people because of her family.
